WHERE ARE PANTER® FOOTWEAR MANUFACTURED?

Panter® is the MADE IN SPAIN safety footwear brand. We are manufacturers and that is why our Panter® footwear is manufactured in Spain and more specifically in the province of Alicante.

HOW CAN I IDENTIFY A NON-SLIP SHOE?

All certified footwear under the EN ISO 20345 standard are non-slip. If you are looking for a particularly non-slip shoe, what you need is a SRC shoe. To identify if a model complies with the marking, enter our catalog through www.panter.es and click, for example, on a model from the Sporty Line. You will see that in the "Protection level" the SRC mark appears.

WHEN SHOULD I CHANGE MY SAFETY FOOTWEAR?

Safety footwear protects us against possible accidents, so it is very important that it is in optimal conditions.

You must change your safety footwear...

◆ If you notice deterioration on the inside or outside of the shoe, such as significant cracks, punctures or abrasions, or excessive wear on the sole.

◆ If the shoe's closure and adjustment system has deteriorated.

◆ If you see areas with deformations, broken seams or burns.

◆ And immediately after any type of accident, which could have compromised the properties of the PPE.

WHAT SIZES ARE AVAILABLE?

Our standard manufacture depends on the model but usually ranges between 35 (3) and 48 (13), although we have a department that attends to the needs of special sizes, being able to manufacture safety footwear from size 33 (2) to 54 (19) with full guarantee and safety.

* Our new models of the Vita Eco and Forza Sporty Lines come as standard up to size 49 (14).

WHAT SHOULD I TAKE INTO ACCOUNT WHEN CHOOSING MY SAFETY FOOTWEAR?

The feet play a very important role at work and in life, which is why when choosing your safety footwear you should not be carried away only by its aesthetics. Each profession has specific risks and needs; the right footwear for an electrician is not the same as a bricklayer needs, the risks and conditions of these professions are very different. So the first thing is that it is suitable for the activity you carry out. It must have been developed under European regulations, having obtained the relevant certifications. You are going to wear it for many hours a day, so you need it to be comfortable, flexible, breathable and, in short: to provide you with health. In other words, safety footwear with guarantees and national manufacture.

DOES THE FOOTWEAR HAVE AN EXPIRATION DATE?

It will largely depend on the use and environmental conditions to which the footwear is subjected, as well as the properties of the manufacturing material. From our experience, if we ensure optimal conditions in maintenance and/or storage of the footwear, we can easily reach between 5 and 10 years depending on the material.

CAN I HAVE A PERSONALIZED SAFETY SHOE?

At PANTER®, as shoe manufacturers, we adapt to the needs of companies and users. We can customize the footwear and adapt it to the uniformity of a company or make it 100% tailored for users who suffer from ailments or pathologies.

WHAT IS HYDROLYSIS?

Has it happened to you that you have kept a shoe for years and when using it the sole has disintegrated? The use of polyurethane allows us to offer the user lightweight, flexible soles, with great shock absorption and very resistant. Hydrolysis is the natural aging process of polyurethane produced by the action of water; which is enhanced when we do not use the footwear for a long season. For this reason we developed Panter® HIDROGRIP technology, a special formulation that slows down the degradation of the sole, extending the useful life of the footwear.

WHAT DOES IT MEAN THAT A FOOTWEAR HAS BEEN DEVELOPED UNDER THE EN 20345 STANDARD?

To guarantee the protection of the health of workers, safety footwear must be manufactured under the European standards set forth for this purpose, among which is the EN 20345 standard.

This standard indicates that footwear meets a series of requirements such as:

◆ Resistance to impacts and compression in the toe.

◆ Resistance to perforation through the sole.

◆ Anti-slip properties.

◆ And other aspects such as electrical resistance, thermal insulation, energy absorption in the heel area and resistance to the passage of water.

HOW DO I PERFORM A CORRECT MAINTENANCE TO MY FOOTWEAR?

You should always clean your footwear after wearing it.

For it:

◆ Lightly scrub your shoes with a soft-bristled brush to remove dirt.

◆ Use a damp cloth to remove dust and impurities and let it dry naturally.

◆ Before putting on your shoes, carry out a quick check of your PPE to check that it is in perfect conditions of use.

WHAT IS THE DIFFERENCE BETWEEN S1P AND S3 MARKING?

These markings indicate that the footwear has an anti-impact toe cap and an anti-perforation sole. The difference between the two is that the S3 marking presents resistance to water penetration and absorption.

WHAT IS THE DIFFERENCE BETWEEN MARKING S2 AND S3?

Both markings indicate that it is a shoe with an anti-impact toecap that is resistant to water penetration and absorption. The difference between the two is that the S3 marking also has an anti-perforation plant.

HOW TO CHOOSE THE RIGHT SIZE?

When choosing your shoe size, it is recommended that you do it at the end of the day with the socks or stockings that you usually wear. When you try on a model, push your foot to the beginning of the shoe until your fingers meet the toe. If there is space between your heel and the heel of the shoe to insert your index finger, you have found the correct size. You can also download the PANTER® pedometer, which will help you find your ideal size without leaving home, in our downloads section.

SHOULD I CHANGE THE PPE INSOLE?

Probably one of the elements that suffers the most from safety footwear is the insole since it supports the user's weight throughout the working day and also absorbs sweat. That is why it is recommended to change it. In the case of having to replace it, we only recommend that it be done with an insole endorsed by the brand because it is the only way to guarantee that the footwear maintains its properties in terms of comfort, safety and certification intact.
