Keep these simple tips in mind to choose the size of your safety footwear correctly:
Buy the shoes at the end of the day. At night is when the feet are more tired and swollen, so we will choose better at this time than first thing in the morning.
Try the shoes on with the socks or tights you usually wear to work. Although it seems logical, not everyone does it. And of course they must be your size, not tight and not form folds that damage the feet.
When trying on safety footwear, push your foot to the beginning of it and then insert a finger between the heel and the safety shoe or boot, this is just the space that there must be to know that this is our correct number.
Take the time you need to choose your future safety footwear, try several models with the same number and check which one is more comfortable, avoiding anyone who rubs you or causes discomfort. It is advisable to take a few steps with them on, when you find your ideal shoe you will notice it right away.
When in doubt, always ask for a size number larger than the one you wear for street footwear (shoes, trainers or boots), this way you will avoid rubbing against the safety toe if one day for whatever reason your feet are slightly swollen.
And remember that the most expensive footwear is not always the most comfortable, nor is the cheapest the worst, the best footwear is the one that best adapts to our feet, and that better and safer allows us to carry out our daily work.
