I CONGRESO DEL EPI
On 21 and 22 May 2025, Madrid became the epicentre of work protection with the celebration of the 1st PPE Congress, organised by ASEPAL. An event that brought together more than 500 professionals from the Personal Protective Equipment sector to analyse and share knowledge on current challenges.
Opening of the Congress
Ramón Pajares, CEO of Panter®, chairman of the Organising Committee and member of the board of directors of ASEPAL, welcomed the attendees. In his speech, he stressed that this forum ‘is the result of the joint effort of the entire sector, with the aim of sharing knowledge, promoting innovation and strengthening a more effective and sustainable labour protection’.

Round tables
Several round tables were held during the event:
State of the art in sustainability of non-disposable PPE
Professionals from the sector: ASEPAL - Borja Mateu (Inescop), Enrique Rivas (Eurofins), Rafael Marqués (Prolians Metalco), Rocío Pajares (PANTER®), ASIRTEX - Pedro F. Andrés Oliver (Texlimca) shared good practices in eco-design, recycling, renting and environmental certifications.
Rocío Pajares, CEO of Panter®, stressed that ‘companies that are committed to sustainability should be valued’ and emphasised the need to work together to care for the planet without sacrificing maximum protection.

Emergencies. Provision of PPE to intervention personnel
Lieutenant Colonel of the UME - Fernando Meana Henarejos, Fire Brigade of the Community of Madrid - Mr. Andrés Pérez Fraguas, Civil Guard - Benjamín Plaza González and representatives of ASEPAL Pablo Ramos (Ramos STS) and Ramón Pajares (Panter®) discussed the protocols and specific equipment necessary for intervention in critical situations.
Ramón Pajares stressed that having adequate and effective PPE guarantees a safe and efficient response to any emergency in order to meet the primary objective of saving lives.
Wal.Panter Technology
During the event, Wal.Panter, the new sensory alert technology co-developed by Panter® and SafeDelimit®, was unveiled. This innovative patented system detects the perimeter of the risk zone and warns the worker by means of vibrations integrated into the safety footwear, thus minimising exposure to hazards in the workplace.
